ARCHITECTURE
Thebasic plan of thebuilding is based on modern architecture, without copying the old one, buttakinginto account the neighbourhood of Kalamaja, which is worthy of a milieu value. In the street space, there will be a smooth transition from the historic building stock to the new building, which will blend into the existing milieu, but will offer while enjoying the benefits of a modern house. The authors of the project are Inga Raukas and Liisi Vähi from Allianss Arhitektid.
ENERGY-SAVING SOLUTIONS
Energy-saving solutions ensure low costs (energy class A). The building will have a geothermal heating system. The building will have energy fences underneath, which will accumulate geothermal energy. The apartments will have underfloor water heating and forced ventilation with heat adjustment. Good indoor climate with reasonable fixed costs.
